Her father's darling, the joy of the family. She was ahead of other children her age in her intelligence and wit. This was her first year in the first grade, at seven years old.
The last time we heard her voice was on the night she was killed; she told us she had caught a cold and the flu. Zainab was killed along with her entire family and 20 other martyrs in the Hassouna family massacre in Shuja'iyya.
