In search of affection.. to the sky! "Like you, I search for affection, but in the sky." These were the words that accompanied Maria on her social media pages and on a sticker on her mobile phone. It was as if she knew that the only comfort in this war would be to become a martyr before God, soaring to the sky with her creativity and her dreams. Maria was talented; she drew and filled her Instagram page with creative drawings. She drew a heart with two wings, describing the scene as happiness, when a heart flutters as if it has wings. Then she drew another heart, meant for a lover's hands. This is how Maria's soul soared to the sky, with her drawings, her creativity, her dreams, and her beautiful spirit, which showed in her features. An exceptional, heavenly affection befitted Maria. "Like her, we too search for affection, but in the sky," because this war stole her dreams and ambitions, and those of all dreamers. Affection was buried under the soil, lost with the bodies of the martyrs. When Maria was killed by a treacherous bombing from the occupier, her mobile phone was with her, destroyed, and her phone's wallpaper confirmed the sentence she loved: "In search of affection..."
