Salam Khaled al-Masri

Salam Khaled al-Masri

Age 2

The child Salam... a name the occupation stole from her! She was two years old. The occupation stole her life and her unborn dreams, and robbed her of her childhood and innocence. Just like her name, Salam loved calm and tranquility. Like any child in the world, she loved to play with her toys, to be happy, to go to school, to wear her favorite clothes, to clap and jump, just like all the other children in this world. But Salam was a child in Gaza. And so, the occupation stole everything she loved. Due to the suffering of displacement and the lack of medical care, Salam was killed, becoming a new symbol of stolen childhood in the Gaza Strip.
