Sundus Baraka

Sundus Baraka... a child who wished to sit her Tawjihi exams! Sundus was 11 years old and in the seventh grade. She loved her studies very much and was a successful, ambitious, and dreamy girl. Before the war began, Sundus told her mother, "I will make you proud. I'll get a 95 on the Tawjihi exams and become a doctor." She had great dreams and passion. She could have been the best doctor in the world, but the occupation killed her, her childhood, and her dreams. On October 11, 2023, "Israel" bombed Sundus's family home in Deir al-Balah. Sundus was martyred along with her mother, grandfather, grandmother, maternal uncle, maternal aunt, her uncles' wives, and five of their children. The occupation killed dreams and ambitions, as it always does. Sundus was killed and never became a doctor, nor did she even get to experience the Tawjihi exams.
