Izz al-Din Hijazi

He was a Hafiz who had masterfully memorized the entire Quran and was counted among the elite of memorizers. Congratulations to you, O carrier of the Quran, for attaining martyrdom for the sake of God while upholding His holy book. Congratulations to you, for you have achieved the two greatest honors: memorizing the Quran and martyrdom. He was killed along with his mother, his brothers, his maternal uncle, his cousins, and his grandmother, after they were displaced to the south, to an area the occupation had declared to be "safe." The occupation killed them on October 18, 2023.
