Killed alongside Issam
Abd al-Rahman was killed along with his siblings. He was the youngest, a pampered boy who didn't want to grow up. He was very obedient; whenever I asked anything of him, he would be too shy to say no. Lately, he would always come to hug me, sleep beside me, show me tenderness, and tell me he loved me. Even when we argued, he would come to apologize and make it up to me.
Abboud struggled a great deal with memorizing the Quran and would sometimes sit and cry. His favorite thing in life was mathematics; he was so good at it that when I would sit to study with him, he would be the one explaining things to me, not the other way around. He was very tender toward his siblings and couldn't bear to see any of them upset. When he was honored during the war for memorizing two parts of the Quran and received a prize of 100 shekels, he split it between himself and his siblings, Issam and Shahd. He refused to spend it on himself alone. My beloved, may God accept him.
