Yusuf Majed Abu Jabal

I am a twelve-year-old child from Gaza. I was the light of the house and the joy of the family, filling every corner of our home with my innocent laughter and my great love. My dreams were as vast as the sky, and I had already begun to chart a path to achieve them. I loved to celebrate my birthday every year, because I was excited to grow up, to become strong, to have big muscles, and to have a good job that I could be proud of. But on November 4, 2023, while I was standing in front of our neighbors' house, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed us, tearing apart my dreams and my body, and taking me, my brother Tariq, and my cousin Izz al-Din. Israel, the killer of children, stole my life from me, snatched my laughter from my family... and stole from this world a future that was not destined to be born.
