Yousef Majed Abu Jabal

"On April 20th of every year, we will continue our tradition of lighting a candle for Yousef on his birthday, just as he loved. Every year, we must celebrate him. And how could we not, when he was everything beautiful in our lives?" Yousef was 12 years old, a child with big dreams. He was pure, beloved, and kind, and everyone who knew him loved him. He loved to play a great deal, especially football, and was the youngest child in his family. On November 4, 2023, the enemy bombed the area next to Yousef's family's home. Yousef was in front of the house and was killed instantly along with his brother and his cousin. This is how the occupation killed his childhood, destroyed his dreams and his future, and deprived his family of seeing him again, just as it had deprived thousands of families before.
