Omar Muhammad al-Batta

Omar was a good, cheerful, and kind boy, beloved by his friends and relatives. He had memorized half of the Quran and was committed to his prayers, which he performed with reverence and tranquility. He had earned many certificates of appreciation for his activities and was a diligent and intelligent student, one of the top pupils in his class. One day, he was asked, "When you get to high school, what will you study?" He replied, "Is that even a question? I'll study science, of course." He was always keen to fulfill any request from his family members. May God have mercy on him and accept him into the highest heavens, in the company of the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.
