Karim, the most beloved and dearest to everyone's heart, and especially to his mother's, was wise beyond his years in the way he spoke and thought. He was always optimistic, and light shone from his eyes. He looked to the future with hope and love, and was an innocent child. His absence shook the family to its core, because he had a great impact both inside and outside the home, and his coming home was like a party and a joy. He used to say, "Mama, I want to be a bird in paradise, where all the toys and foods I love will be." He said this on the evening of October 16th, and on the morning of the 17th, he was killed.
