Banna Ismail al-Hasayneh

Banna was known among her family for her mature mind; she seemed older than her age. She was the darling of the house, beloved by everyone, and embodied the saying "a big mind in a small child's body." Her features were very innocent and childlike. Banna was very smart and couldn't wait to start kindergarten. She was so excited, saying, "I want to write, I want to go to kindergarten quickly!" Banna, her brother, and her father were killed in a brutal massacre at the hands of soldiers of the Israeli occupation forces.
