Hanan, Fatima, Aya, Ahmed, Omar, and Tasnim Mohammed Abdel Hakim Asfour

Age 14

These young children were all killed along with their mother in a bombing by the Israeli occupation army on November 18, 2023. Only one daughter survived, left with their bereaved father. My daughter Hanan, a martyr. She was only three months and 24 days old, a baby who knew nothing of the world but an innocent smile. O God, reunite me with her soon. My daughter Fatima, a martyr. Oh, Fatima, my beloved, my heart and soul. She lived for two years and six months. O God, reunite me with her soon, for I have not grown used to their absence. My daughter Aya, a martyr. The cheerful, playful one, who would soothe me with her beautiful words and soft hands. She lived for six years and 20 days. My precious one, when will we meet? O God, reunite me with her soon. My son Ahmed, a martyr. The innocent, beautiful one, his father's darling. I named him after my brother, the martyr Ahmed. O God, reunite me with him soon. My eldest son Omar, a martyr. He was a man from a young age, mature in his mind and his actions. I never felt he was a child. I relied on him for everything and never worried for him. You were martyred, O apple of my eye. I named him after my brother, the martyr Omar. O God, reunite me with them soon. My firstborn daughter and my first joy, Tasnim, a martyr. She knew the Book of God by heart, and was well-mannered and obedient. She lived for 14 years and one day. O God, reunite me with her soon.
