Mohammed Bilal Zaher
Age 4
Damn Israel!
The bereaved mother wrote: "Goodbye, my fragrant musk. To a soul and sweet basil, and to a Lord who is pleased and not angered. May God make it easy for you, my love."
The child's uncle mourned him, his father Bilal, and his grandmother Ataf: "My beloved mother, the teacher Ataf Madi, the soul of our home, is a martyr, God willing. My brother, Bilal Zaher, the soul and pillar of our home, was dutiful to his parents and loved by everyone. He was our beloved and our rock—for me, my sisters, and our father. He never refused a request, and was the most compassionate of men. He, too, is a martyr, God willing. And little Hammoud, his laugh never leaves my mind. He is a bird in Paradise."
