Tariq Ali Badwan

Tariq Ali Badwan

Age 4 · Nuseirat refugee camp

Tariq Ali Badwan was the brother of the famous martyr Reem, known as 'Rouh al-Rouh' (Soul of the Soul). Their father, Ali Badwan, told Cairo 24 that the children's maternal grandfather was with them during the bombing in which Reem and Tariq were killed. Their uncle, Mahmoud Badwan, continued the story for the news channel: "My brother's family lived peacefully in their house in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. There were five of them: my brother Ali, his wife, and their three children, Ahmed, Tariq, and Reem. The occupation bombed the house. At the time of the bombing, only their mother, the children, and their father were in the house. As a result, 4-year-old Reem and 6-year-old Tariq were killed. Their mother was injured and is now in intensive care, and their older brother, 8-year-old Ahmed, was injured in his leg." "The family is in a state of shock over what happened to them as a result of the bombing and aggression faced by the people of the Gaza Strip," the uncle added. "But praise be to God for everything. The eye weeps, the heart grieves, and we are saddened by your parting. There is no power nor strength except in God."
