Eileen al-Khayat

Eileen al-Khayat loved to draw. In her last conversation with her uncle, Karim Abu al-Rous, who lives outside of Gaza, she sent him several drawings she had made during the bombing and insisted that he receive them. Eileen was a simple dreamer, only 7 years old. She wanted to travel and own a Lego set. She was killed along with her family and her siblings, Seline, 5, and Mahmoud, 42 days old, in an Israeli airstrike on their home on October 13, 2023. She was never able to get that Lego set.
