Jana and Sama Muhammad Abu Ghleibeh
Age 10 · 20 April 2024 · Abu Ghleibeh area, between Maghazi and Bureij camps
Jana was 16 years old, the eldest of her siblings—two girls and two boys. She was killed with her sister Sama in the same bombing.
Jana was her parents' first joy, born after a difficult pregnancy during which her mother endured nine months of heparin injections. She was affectionate toward her younger siblings and would worry over them like a mother if one of them got sick. She was quiet, obedient, shy, and beautiful. She had dreams and wishes that were not fulfilled because of the war and her death. An aircraft attacked their home; she and her sister were inside and were killed instantly in the Abu Ghleibeh area, between the Maghazi and Bureij refugee camps.
Her sister, Sama, was 11 years old, born on December 13, 2013. She was mature for her age, talkative, smart, sociable, and loved by everyone. Their loss is painful for everyone who knew them.
