Hamza Hussam al-Dabbakeh

He was one of the dearest children to my heart; polite, sweet, and always so neat and tidy. His mother took great care of him and always dressed him in the most beautiful clothes. When he upset his mother, he would say to her so maturely, "I am so sorry, Mama," and add, "Sorry, sorry." He loved duqqa [a traditional spice mix], and would always tell me, "I want duqqa," saying it in a very grown-up way. I was so charmed by him. Everyone loved him. His grandfather loved him dearly and would tell his mother, "Just imagine what he'll be like when he grows up," and would always console her with sweet words about him. She was so very happy with him.
