Muayyad Ahmad Abu Hamid

Muayyad was very shy, and at the same time very, very brave. He loved the sea immensely; he would go to the port and jump from high places. He wouldn't tell me because he knew how much I worried about him. I only saw his videos after he was killed. He was an outstanding student, one of the top in his class. In elementary school, he was polite and everyone loved him. He was quiet and loved to laugh. On the day he was killed, I asked him to go get bread at 7 in the morning. He went back and forth trying to find bread until 8 o'clock at night. He went down to get bread and never came back. He was killed at our doorstep when our neighbors' house was bombed.
