Ahmed and Aseel Abu Asad

Aseel was a child like a gentle breeze, very quiet. She loved clothes and styling so much that she dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. Although she was young, she was very content, considerate of her family's circumstances, and did not ask for much. She loved her school a great deal. During the war, while everyone else was packing a bag with their most important things, she packed her school bag, putting her books and colored pencils inside to take with her. But the occupation killed her before she could. Her twin, Ahmed, was her opposite. He was a very mischievous child who loved to play, active and full of life like all children. He was talented at football, so much so that the neighborhood kids called him "Ronaldo." He never missed any of the famous tournaments and always dreamed of becoming a famous football player. His father would always tell him, "You have to study, Ahmed, so that when you grow up you can succeed in life." His father did not know that Ahmed would not grow up. One day before he was killed, Ahmed went and got his hair styled and said, "Tomorrow the war will end." And indeed, the next day, the war ended for him.
