Lamia was always known for her tenderness and her cheerful face. She loved children a great deal and loved helping everyone. She completed her university degree in psychology, worked in many organizations helping children, and in 2022 she completed her master's degree in psychology. She made everyone who knew her proud and traveled to many countries.
She told me she had fulfilled her dream; she was one of the first to travel abroad through her own hard work. My uncle's daughters were five girls, with no brothers, and our gatherings with them were always like a party. I saw her a month before she was killed, and she told me how stressed she was with work and how much she missed seeing us and getting together. Even though she was in her early thirties and didn't want to get married, wanting to build her own life, she recently told us, "The next wedding will be mine, you'll be so happy for me." And truly, less than a month after she said those words, we escorted her in a procession to paradise. My cousin was killed along with her sister, who had battled cancer for more than 16 years. It was fated that she die a martyr, and God chose her. My two cousins, their sister's husband, their uncle, and more than 20 other members of the Dawas family were all killed when the house was bombed on top of them. Her body was pulled from the rubble four days after the bombing. I miss you, my gentle one.
