Malak Sami al-Rayyes and Bara'a Ahmed al-Nuweiri

Malak was killed in the Nuseirat refugee camp when she was four years and half a month old. She was born in Istanbul on March 24, 2019. Malak's father is a Syrian national from Damascus, and her mother was a Palestinian from Gaza's Nuseirat camp. Malak was born in Turkey and traveled to Gaza with her mother at two months of age. Her father tried to travel to Gaza to reunite the family, but was unable to. The war came, and Malak was killed without ever seeing her father, nor he her. We ask God to reunite them in the gardens of paradise. Her mother, Bara'a Ahmed al-Nuweiri, was also killed on March 9, 2024, less than two weeks after Malak. Bara'a was born on September 25, 1991. She was a graduate of the Islamic University with a degree in Information Technology (IT) and the owner of a successful crochet business, "Bara'a Crochet" (@baraa.crochet20) on Instagram, which was well-known in the Gaza Strip. She created many pieces in this field and participated in numerous festivals. Her dream was to expand her business and bring it to the Gazan market after reuniting with her husband upon his arrival in Gaza. But fate had other plans, and God decreed her among the martyrs.
