Hala was killed in Jabalia camp. She was a very diligent student who always earned high grades. Her friend said that she encouraged her to study and dreamed of studying medicine outside Gaza, like her sister, Dr. Rawand, who was also killed on the same day. She always made sure to perform the Fajr prayer on time and urged her friend to read the Quran. "More than anyone, she knew how to ease my worries and bring a smile to my face," her friend said. "Although I have lost many people during the war, her loss is the hardest to bear, and she is impossible to forget. She was displaced with her family to a relative's house, and the house was bombed.
