Saja Muaath Ziada
Age 15 · 29 January 2024
She turned 22 on January 26, 2024, but the Israeli occupation did not let her complete her year. It targeted the house she had fled to with her family on the night of January 29, 2024.
She was laughing so much that night. I swear, I did not know that in that moment she was taking her last breaths and that she would ascend with her mother, three of her sisters, and two of her brothers. May God have mercy on them and forgive them. We consider them martyrs in God's eyes, God willing.
A friendship of 15 years, and so it will remain until we meet. It never crossed my mind that a day would come when I would write these words to you, but you were the best sister and friend. Cheerful, affectionate, beautiful, gentle, and committed, like an older sister to me, the best companion I had in this world. She fulfilled part of her dream and graduated from the Islamic University with a degree in general nursing. She also volunteered to help rescue the wounded during the war. A few days before the war, I told her that I had finally received my certificate. She was waiting to finish her internship to get hers, but she was destined to receive the certificate of the afterlife before the certificate of this world.
