Killed alongside Roza, Ibrahim, Kinan, and Amal

She was born on May 14, 2019, and was the joy we had all been waiting for. For the first time in my very small family, I was going to become Lina's aunt. The child I adored before my hands ever touched her, the one with a laugh so sincere it would steal your heart, "the fruit of the house" as her maternal uncle Muhammad loved to call her. She loved to play and to go out with anyone who left the house. Despite her young age, she loved the concept of family a great deal. She adored the color blue, saying, "I want to be like the color of the sky—clear, pure, and cheerful." Perhaps she dreamed of growing up to become a doctor like her father! Perhaps if she had grown up, she would have become a model, for her great beauty and graceful movements. That little troublemaker who stole hearts... The possibilities were many and varied, but the machine of crime murdered her treacherously, stole her innocent childhood, deprived us of her laughter, and deprived me of her touch forever. This occupation has committed crimes against our people—our children, our women, and our men—and has spread corruption in our land. It was not enough for it to kill just her; it also killed her beautiful sister Masa, her mother, her father, her paternal aunts, her grandfather, and all her paternal cousins: Ibrahim, Amal, Kinan, and Roz. Remember them, and speak well of them, so that the world will know their story.
