Uday Samer Nasr
Age 15 · 6 January 2024
Killed alongside Mohammed
Uday was a child and a man at the same time. He always used to say, "I am the doctor of the house," and acted much older than his age. He wasn't like any other child his age; he was devoted to his prayers, a diligent student, and always first in his class. But the occupation killed him and all his family members before he could fulfill his ambitions and dreams. He was dutiful to his mother and father, well-mannered and shy, and everyone who met him loved him. He always liked to give his opinion on everything. He had refined taste in clothes and would even offer his opinion on how they looked. He liked to be self-reliant and take responsibility for others. He was very affectionate with his sister, protective of her as if he were her father.
Uday is not a number. Uday was ambitious, passionate, and had dreams, and the occupation killed him in cold blood. Uday was killed, leaving behind his sister, the sole survivor, who longs to see and embrace him. He was her world. Uday is now in God's paradise; he ascended to God's mercy along with his mother, his father, and his brothers Muhammad and Malik, in a massacre committed by the occupation against the Nasr family and more than six other displaced families who were sheltering in their home.
We will meet in paradise, God willing, my dear Uday, and my beloved Muhammad and Malik.
