Misk had moved with her mother to her grandfather's house, which was near a hospital. Her mother was in the last month of her pregnancy and was about to give birth to her second child. But an Israeli bombing of their neighbors' house killed Misk, her mother, and her unborn sibling. Fifty days before her death, the occupation had bombed her family's home. All of Misk's paternal family members were killed: her uncles, their children, and her grandparents. Misk later joined them. Misk was a year and a half old. She was a clever girl; she could count from 1 to 10 in both Arabic and English. The occupation killed her.
